Show wins award!
“Creating a Successful Doubles Team,” an episode of “On Court with USPTA,” has been recognized with an Award of Distinction by The Communicator Awards. Produced and aired in 2008 on the Tennis Channel, the show was one of more than 7,000 entries submitted to the contest. The series has won numerous awards since its debut in 2003.

Earn education credits, prepare for exam with online academy
The Professional Tennis Coaches Academy I  allows tennis-teaching professionals to review all the critical material for the certification exam and further their tennis education from the comfort of their own home or office via their computers.

If you took the Certification Exam prior to January 2008, this course is available to you for an introductory fee of $50.  You will receive 4 education credits for completing this course.

ADDvantage wins
The cover article in the August 2008 issue of ADDvantage magazine won an Award of Distinction in the 2009 Communicator Awards competition. The article, titled "Racquet-wielding mayor takes swing at obesity," tells how Oklahoma City Mayor Mick Cornett used tennis as part of his own weight-loss plan and then challenged the city's citizens to get fit as well. Interactive Web site that details the health benefits of tennis. Users are encouraged to track their tennis exercise and weight. Sign up and encourage your members to do the same.
